Cardio Queen...

Wed. May 19th boot camp:

Let me just begin by saying that I LOVED this session! I Got such a great workout. Tonight's boot camp was all about CARDIO and I wouldn't mind if we did this workout once a week! Now I'm not saying it was easy by any stretch. This was an INTENSE class. Angie had a board filled out with a list of exercises that really got your heart going. You had to start by doing 20 - 40 reps of each exercise as you worked down the list at your own pace. I was going along doing the exercises and then got to the "do 3 laps" line and I thought to myself, holy .... really? The laps were changed to 2 instead of 3 THANK GOD. I'm not sure I could have done 3 laps after doing all of the exercises. Well, I could have done the 3 but I would have had to fast walk some of it. I was able to jog for 2 straight laps without stopping to fast walk. The run was around the perimeter of the school and then you had to come back to your mat and start the whole list over! I don't love running but I do like how it gives you a sense of accomplishment when you complete it. I ended up making it through the list again except for the running. Once again, sweat was pouring into my eyeballs! We still had time left over to do some ab work on our mats. I'm always happy to finish with ab work as I desperately need help in this area!

Tonight is the last session of this boot camp and I already feel so much better about myself. Now I just have to work on my diet! I go back to work from maternity leave in 2 weeks and that by itself will help just by not sitting around at home all day. Wonder what's in store for us at our last session of boot camp tonight??? I am not looking forward to the body fat test. Oh well, all I can say is I'm trying to do something about it!
