1. Swap regular ice cream for low fat and save hundreds of calories per cup (please watch your serving size), 2. Craving a dessert but want something healthy? Try yogurt and pineapple. It's a sweet treat and loaded with calcium, vitamin D and potassium. 3. Don't confuse thirst for hunger. If you're hungrier than usual see if drinking water curbs your hunger pains. Especially during the summer months. 4. Reduce those high calorie fru-fru drinks. For example, replace the coconut milk in your pina colada with a few drops of coconut extract. - SEE BELOW for some easy fixes 5. Feeling sluggish or getting lots of uncommon headaches? Stay hydrated! Drink 8 ounces of water for every 15 minutes when training outdoors. We can't squeeze all 8 ounces in during class obviously, so drink some before, some during and some after. Continue to drink more than the above recommended throughout the rest of the day. |
