Rock hard abs.....
Mon. June 7th 5:30 pm bootcamp:
Tonight's boot camp was "Cardio/Core." We did all kinds of running or running in place switching off to jumping jacks and squat jumps, etc. Then we got down on our mats to do core exercises which are so hard for me. I don't remember the name of the core exercise where you roll back while holding a weight and then end up in a standing position but it is one of the hardest exercises for me. I can never seem to get up to a standing position without using my hands to push me up. Another one my personal goals to keep working on. I do know that I wasn't able to do a plank on my hands just my elbows and now I can do it starting out on my hands. I can only stay up about 8 to 10 seconds before taking a quick break and starting again but that is definitely progress!
I thought we might get rained out yet again but it just stayed cloudy which was a blessing. I was hoping for some rain by about the middle of class because sweat was pouring off me! This week we are doing 4 classes in a row to make up for the rain day last week - ugh! This is going to be a challenge but I always feel so good driving home from boot camp. The sense of accomplishment that is felt is all one can hope for! Am looking forward to what is in store for us tonight!
