No....day one at Boot Camp didn't kill me :)

Of course it figures that I decide to join boot camp in the worst possible week. I survived day one and opted not to go to class on Wednesday since I was a little tender. So what happened to Friday and today's class? My brother got married on Saturday. I had family stuff going on and didn't want to over do it (especially after seeing Jen's comment on Facebook Thursday night "I've got 100 on my mind..."). I knew that I would be work the weekends food and drinks with a ton of dancing at my Brothers reception. Not to fear, I will be attending class on Wednesday!

Have you been by TJ Maxx lately? I got an awesome exercise mat and weights there. Very pink, girly and reasonably priced. See, I am going back to class, I bought equipment :)

What is Ormond Boot Camp??

A three-week outdoor program of fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by Certified Adventure Fitness Trainers. Each day, camp will be one hour in length starting at 5:30 AM or 5:30 PM in Port Orange and 5:45 AM, 9:30 AM or 5:30 PM in Ormond Beach. Our PM classes are COED.

What if I'm not very physically fit?

NOBODY will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others.

Where is the location we will meet?

In Ormond, classes are held at Temple Beth El School at 5:45 AM and 5:30 PM and under the mainland side of the Granada Bridge at 9:30 AM.

In Port Orange, classes are held at the Port Orange City Center at 5:30 AM and Port Orange Elementary School at 5:30 PM.

What types of exercises are included in the program?

Exercises include: Core conditioning, short distance running (less than one mile), muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, sport yoga, fitness kick boxing, pilates, sport drills, obstacle courses, surprises, and more!

How often will we meet?

Participants will meet three, four or five days per week for one hour during the three-week program. *4 and 5 day options only available at the 5:45 AM class in Ormond.

What do I need to bring?

An exercise mat, one set of small hand weights (3, 5 or 8 lbs), water bottle, running shoes, and a sense of adventure.

What can I achieve from camp?

Your body will become more fit and toned, and you will gain more confidence making a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being. The camp program includes exercises designed to firm your butt and thighs, flatten your stomach, reduce body fat and increase stamina. By losing fat and gaining muscle, you'll lose inches and gain strength while looking and feeling better. Also, you'll meet great people who share in the same vision of striving to reach their goals for a healthier mind and body.

Why should I participate?

You will make a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being. In addition, you will meet great people who share your same passion for acquiring a more healthy body and mind. You will be finished with your training before the rest of the world has even gotten started!

How do you join Ormond Boot Camp?

How do I sign up now?

Go to the registration page and fill out the registration form. After filling out the registration form, please follow the payment instructions. We accept cash, check or you can pay via credit card securely and online. Once we've received your registration information, we'll contact you to schedule your pre-camp evaluation.

What is the Pre Camp Evaluation?

The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
1. We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have. We will also review your medical history.

2. We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. We don't care what the measurements show. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.

3. We will measure your body fat percentage. Again, the numbers don't matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see a 2-4% reduction in your body fat over the three weeks!

4. You will receive your Welcome Packet and at the end of the session you'll receive your Boot Camp T-shirt.

What if I sign up for the three-day plan and then want to do more days of the camp?

After starting camp, many women realize how fun and convenient it is so they request to sign up for more days. In addition, they realize that the more days they attend camp the greater the results. In these situations, you will simply be pro-rated from the point you decide to join us for more days.

Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?

They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some exercise experience is needed to ensure your safety and a better flow of class.

Is there a refund policy?

If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date. However we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. Credit is not given toward private fitness training. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.

What is a typical day like at camp?

That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training and jumping rope each week. On special days, we will take a field trip to a different location. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."

How soon will I see results?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first camp. Remember, everyone is different!

What will I do after camp is over?

You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many (up to 95%) of the campers return for a second and even third camp.
