
Mon. 6/14/10 and Tue. 6/15/10 5:30 pm Boot Camp:
Can I just begin by saying that it is extremely HOT HOT HOT and steamy at boot camp lately. It was a record high yesterday at like 103 degrees! Thank god for the covered overhang where we do part of the boot camp or there would probably be some heat strokes! The workouts have been really great though. Both nights were a combination of doing exercises at our mats for 2 minutes and then running/jogging/fast walking out to the obstacle course. The obstacle course has been set up in stations which I really like. One station will be jump roping and one will be alternating lunges and one will be squats, etc. etc.
I discovered that I can now do a part of the Burpie that I haven't been able to do in the past. I can kick my legs out and in instead of walking them out and in. It's small but it's an improvement and frankly that's all I'm looking for. Small steady improvements! One of the things I love about boot camp is that you have other people in the same boat as you. Just when you feel like giving up you can look over and see the others doing the exercises and it somehow keeps you going. Whatever it takes is what I say. Until next time....
